The stained glass windows on the west wall illustrate events from the life of Christ.

Nativity

This window shows the Christchild in a manger with Mary and Joseph.  As the Virgin Mother, Mary wears a dress of red, traditional for mothers, and a robe of blue, traditional for virgins.  The angels, with the star of Bethlehem, and the shepherds are in adoration.  At the foot of the Christchild is a sacrificial lamb with its feet bound, as a presentiment of Christ as the "Lamb of God," who would be sacrificed for the sins of mankind.

Christ and St. Peter

Christ is shown walking across the water in strormy seas to rescue Peter, who in a momentary loss of faith, sank into the seas.  The boat in the background, and Peter, the first among the Apostles, signify the Church, tested by crisis and storm, but always safe in the presence of Christ.

The Resurrection

Christ, in triumph emerges from the tomb.  He carries a banner of the conquered cross.  The angel bows before Him and the Roman soldiers are stunned and blinded.

Annunciation

The window depicts the moment when Mary accepts the Incarnation.  The Holy Spirit, in the form of a dove, is over the scene.  Mary, in the blue robe of a virgin, kneels in humble prayer.  An open book of prophetic scripture is beside her.  The Angel Gabriel, who announces that she is to be the Mother of God, holds lilies, symbol of purity, and a "Holy" vase in the corner holds red roses, the symbol of truth and fidelity.

Christ Teaching in the Temple

The young Jesus is seated on a throne in a position of authority.  He is instructing the high priest, the learned doctors of scripture.  His parents, searching for him, approach from behind.

Agony in the Garden

This is the moment in the garden when Christ is offered the cup of suffering by the angel and He accepts it.  In the foreground is a thorny plant, singifying His suffering, and a lilly, signifying new life and anticipation of the Easter Resurrection.
